Netflix’s “Heartstopper” Stars Kit Connor And Joe Locke recently sat down with GQ to partake in a game of Action Replay!
The video is now streaming all over social media and had surpassed over 100k views on YouTube in just one day.
Few standouts from the interview:
“I went back to school after we filmed and there was an LGBT group there saying, ‘Heartstopper has helped a lot of young people at my school feel more confident in who they are.’
And I think being a part of something that has affected so many people is wonderful.” – Joe Locke
“The idea that you can tell someone’s sexuality based on the way they look, talk, walk, dress is frankly ridiculous and quite harmful.
One of Heartstopper’s strongest messages is that doing this is very wrong.” – Kit Connor

Heartstopper live-action, half-hour series is written by Alice Oseman, who previously published YA novels including Solitaire, Radio Silence and I Was Born For This!
Heartstopper tells the story of Nick and Charlie, two British teens at an all-boys grammar school. Charlie, a high-strung, openly gay overthinker, and Nick, a cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player, one day are made to sit together. They quickly become friends, and soon Charlie is falling hard for Nick, even though he doesn’t think he has a chance. But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is more interested in Charlie than either of them realized. Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie’s lives that together make up something larger.
