HBO’s “The Gilded Age” Season 2 is currently still filming and fans are spotting the cast and crew in brand new locations!
One fan tweets at the end of October:
“they’re filming the gilded age 2 minutes from my campus 😭”
We initially thought filming was wrapped but apparently it’s still going on.
A fan on of the series shared a few photos of Taissa Farmiga on set.
HBO’s The Gilded Age, a series centered on moneyed, high-class families in 1882 New York, became so wildly popular among its audience that it was renewed for a second season when the show was just halfway through its very first season. The period drama, written by the highly acclaimed Julian Fellowes, won a significant amount of praise from viewers who commended both the performances of the cast as well as the setting of the series.
Season one of the series followed the story of young Marian Brook as she moved from Pennsylvania to live with her wealthy aunts Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook after the death of her father. After quite a few shocking revelations and glamorous balls, the season ended in a dramatic finale that saw Marian’s love life in shambles.
The Season 2 logline teases. “Nowhere is that rivalry more apparent than on East 61st Street, where Marian Brook and her thoroughly old money aunts, Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook, live opposite the stupendously rich George and Bertha Russell.”
“The Russells are both fiercely ambitious, he financially, she socially, and they are determined to reach the highest echelons of New York,” it continues. “Meanwhile in Brooklyn, Marian’s friend and confidant Peggy Scott forges her own path in the world of the Black elite. In this glittering world on the brink of the modern age, will the established rules of society prevail, or will the game change entirely?”
