CBS’s “Survivor” Host Jeff Shares What’s Staying & Leaving Ahead Of 43 Premiere

Survivor season 43

CBS’s hit competition series “Survivor” is back in just a few days for its 43rd season and host Jeff Probst sat down with EW to share more about the upcoming season!

The pandemic caused a lot of changes with the show and now the series is finally coming back into a normal setting but with a few changes.

Jeff Probst told EW that many of the new wrinkles fans seen on seasons 41 and 42 of Survivor would be back for Survivor 43. “Things like small tribes, earn the merge, no food, risk/reward dilemmas, Shot in the Dark, are here to stay,” the host said then. “Other specific twists will come and go depending on the season.”

When asked which twists would be making a return appearance, he shared:

“Interesting way to ask this question,” responds the host. “I’ll counter with this. Here’s what you won’t see in Survivor 43: Change History and Do or Die. How ya like them apples?”

The 26 day Survivor seasons are here to stay as well.

Season 43 debuts on CBS September 21st.
