Congratulations are in order for Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney.

The actress is set to lead “Mars” which is an upcoming short film based on a song by rapper Yungblud.

Finney is set to play Charlie Acaster, a teenager who has only ever wanted to live a normal existence but an extraordinary night makes her reassess what truly matters.

Yungblud previously described the film to NME Magazine as “an uncensored, unfiltered portrayal of youth. It revels in the fragile beauty of it, flirts with the pain of it, and most importantly the undeniable, glimmering hope of it. It presents a generational shift towards acceptance of one’s self and others, and ever-growing confidence in our own insecurities.”

Mars is being directed by Abel Rubenstein, who heaped praise upon the young actor. “Yasmin is a striking performer,” said Rubinstein. “She has the ability to tell a whole story with a single look. She utterly embodied the character of Charlie whilst also bringing so much more.”
