Undergoing chemotherapy is one of the hardest things in the world to do and it hurts our heart that someone on set of “Station 19” is dealing with that kind of pain!!
Secondary actor Kaine Charleston took to Instagram to share his love for the show while fighting.
He shared :
“I have NO WORDS for the love and support station19 family has shown me today. As I fight day 5 post chemo round 7… I have tears in my eyes for reasons I can’t explain. I’ve fought fears out of no where and those tears feel nothing like the ones that started today as the love from the cast and crew… really the brothers and sisters I made the last year, on this show. I was 7 years old when I watched backdraft. As a kid hung out in central fire station. When sick was sick in hospital Captain Forgess gave me a badge to be an honorary fireman. Capt Randy Shimaooka would joke “most firehouses have a Dalmatian… we got Kaine.” To have been able to love every dream I could ever imagine, is unbelievable. And the last year on this show, everyday felt the same as 3rd grade going on a field trip to the local fire station. Everyone I now have as a life long friend. THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. Your kindness, support, generosity, love, thoughts, prayers, companion… have made today such a great day. I love you guys! I am inspired by you. And I am fighting to get to step foot again on a set I can have the privilege of sharing with you. All the chambers of my heart are full right now. I am gracious.”
Extremely sad and we’re happy he’s able to be doing something that he loves while dealing with it.
Station 19 Season 6 debuts October 6th.
