HBO’s hit series “The Gilded Age” is now filming Season 2 in New York and during Cynthia’s free time, she’s petitioning for Congresswoman Yuh-Line Niou.

“On my way out the door at Trader Joe’s this afternoon I had a lively and lovely discussion with fellow NewYorker Cynthia Nixon. She’s campaigning on behalf of Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou who is running for congress representing NY-10. My two neighbors-JoAnne Simon and Elizabeth Holtzman are also competing for this position. I find them all respect-worthy and qualified. Cynthia helped me look at Yuh-line’s favorable qualities in a new light. Tuesday I have to choose which one….. #campaign2022”

In the period drama, The Gilded Age (from Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes) set in booming late 19th Century New York City, award-winning actresses Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon delight as old money sisters: steely, smart widow Agnes van Rhijn and sweet, never-married Ada Brook.

Season 2 will debut in 2023.
