The Gilded Age Season 2 cast and crew were joined by PETA protesters as they are upset about the treatment of horses on set of the show!!
It was earlier announced that one horse even died while on set of the series
15 PETA members and local animal rights activists wearing paper horse masks and carrying signs gathered at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Dove Street to protest “The Gilded Age” during filming Friday afternoon. Per Times Union.
HBO representatives responded to the protest stating that HBO safety officers and representatives from the American Humane Association are on set whenever horses are being filmed.
HBO then shared with TimesUnion “Safety is the top priority for HBO’s productions, and we will continue to maintain our high standards and rules above to ensure the well-being of all animals, crew members and actors.”
