ABC’s “The Rookie” Gains Another Series Regular Ahead Of Season 5 Premiere

The Rookie fans rejoice!!

Tru Valentino, who joined the fourth season of ABC’s The Rookie in the recurring role opposite Nathan Fillion has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming fifth season.

Valentino portrays Officer Aaron Thorsen the newest rookie at the station. He filmed about 11 episodes in Season 4 and now he’s back to fully join the team.

The Rookie is led by Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Melissa O’Neil, Eric Winter, and Mekia Cox. As the story begins, John Nolan (Fillion) is a middle-aged divorced man from Pennsylvania. He owns a construction company but decides to give up his old life to pursue a new career as a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. He graduates from the Police Academy and becomes the oldest rookie on the force. He works with Sergeant Wade Grey (Jones), Detective Angela Lopez (Diaz), training officers Nyla Harper (Cox) and Tim Bradford (Winter), and fellow rookie Lucy Chen (O’Neil).

The Rookie season 5 premiere airs Sunday, September 25 at 10/9c on ABC.
