BET’s hit series “Sistas” is currently in its 5th season and gearing up to air it’s 6th season on May 31st.

Fans been having some slight concerns with this season and the writing and how long it’s taking for the storylines to wrap up!
With the writers strike going on right now in Hollywood, fans are remembering that Tyler doesn’t have writers.
In an interview from a few years ago, Tyler Perry showed no signs of listening to the fans and what they want changed about the writers room because the show is still #1 on BET.
He shared:
“Out of all the things happening in the world, you’re worried about a character on this show saying he liked getting his prostate tickled?” Perry asked incredulously. “OK, listen. To all of you who think I need a writers’ room, let me just say this: We do have writers’ rooms on some of my other shows, and there will be other writers’ rooms to come.”
“In the past, I had writers’ rooms, and the ratings tanked,” he added. “People know my voice. They know how I write. And have you ever thought for a minute, just one second, that I’m specific in what I’m doing? That I am telling the stories that the audience wants to see? Don’t worry about it. I got this. That’s why the show is No. 1.”

Sistas follows a group of single Black females as they navigate their “complicated love life,” careers and friendship through the ups and downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals. The women must navigate this new-age dating scene as they continue to search for love in their 30’s.
