The spin-off was expected to be packaged with the Nathan Fillion-led flagship series “The Rookie” on Sunday nights.
The spinoff was introduced in a two-part arc on Season 4 of The Rookie, where Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of Simone Clark when one of her former students is a suspect in a terror attack.
Plot: Worlds collide when the oldest newbie in the game and the oldest trainee in the police academy join together to stop crime and kick butt. Undoubtedly, due to their rather unique titles, this duo is one other law enforcers want little to do with. But so long as they got one another’s back, they can overcome anything.
