Jeff Bezos Ex-Wife Mackenzie Scott Donates Billions to HBCU’s, Inflation and Charities

According to AP News,

Mackenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, donated $2.7 billion to hundreds of organizations!!

Scott donated to 286 institutions like The Freedom Fund, Muslim Advocates, Rise Up and more.

“In 2020, Scott made two similar surprise announcements, donating a combined $6 billion to COVID-19 relief, gender equity, historically Black colleges and universities and other schools.”

This is how you give back! If you have such a large amount of money, it don’t hurt to give back.

A little background on Mackenzie, she was an integral part of its origin story, driving to Seattle in 1994 while Mr. Bezos sat in the passenger seat, working on the nascent company’s business plan. She was Amazon’s first accountant and was involved in its transformation from a small online bookseller to the e-commerce behemoth it is today, the second company in American history to be valued at over a trillion dollars.

She’s also a novelist.
