The “NCIS” franchise fandom might be in for a treat during the next season run.
Back in March it was announced that “NCIS,” a longtime cornerstone of the CBS primetime schedule, will now be back for a 20th season. “NCIS: Los Angeles” will return for a 14th season, while “NCIS: Hawai’i” will be back for a second season. All three shows have drawn solid viewership numbers for CBS, with “NCIS” remaining one of the broadcaster’s top draws even this late in its run..
The news was exciting but we have even more exciting news. There’s talks going on about a crossover between all 3 series.
NCIS LA producer shared:
“We’ve talked about [a crossover] a lot, and actually the studio [recently] asked me about it,” NCIS: LAexecutive producer R. Scott Gemmill told TV Insider while discussing the Season 13 finale. “It’s only a matter of logistics. If we were going to do it, we’d want to do it over all three series. Doing one crossover with one show sort of feels like you’re leaving somebody out… I’ve already talked to the other showrunners, everyone’s sort of up for it. It’s just the practicality of pulling it off is a little tricky.”
Everyone is down for it. Be on the look out for it in the coming years.
