Now that it’s 2022, Emmy season will be approaching very soon.
Eligibility period for the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be programs that aired between June 1, 2021, and May 31, 2022 — with the usual “hanging episodes” rules in effect for any series that has a season that straddles two different eligibility periods.
BET has had a hard time finding hit shows for the channel for years but looks like the channel has found their hits thanks to Tyler Perry.
“Sistas” is dominating in ratings weekly and fans are all over social media with hundreds of fan pages and more. The series is even getting a spin-off! It’s no doubt in my mind that “Sistas” deserve a nomination this award season.
“The Oval” is also dominating in ratings weekly with a huge fan base online. The storyline is amazingly interesting and would fit right into the categories at the Emmy’s.
Both of these shows has yet to see any big nominations from award shows and we will be sharing with the Academy the shows we would like to see nominated.
Hopefully in the near future we can become part of the Emmy’s voting team.
