“House Party” Sequel from LeBron James to give Brand New Feel

We all know the legendary OG “House Party” and the hold the movie still have on us but it looks like a new version will be arriving soon.

The film is being written by Atlanta scribes Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori, and is produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter through the NBA star’s production company, SpringHill Entertainment. The original House Party starred Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin of hip hop duo Kid ‘n Play. It also featured Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, A.J. Johnson, Kelly Jo Minter, and John Witherspoon. Daryl “Chill” Mitchell and Gene “Groove” Allen (of Groove B. Chill) also appeared, as did icon funk musician George Clinton, in a cameo.

Karen Obilom, Jorge Lendeborg Jr, Tosin Cole, DC Young Fly, Melvin Gregg, Rotimi and Allen Maldonado are the latest stars to join New Line’s reimagining of the 1990 hit comedy “House Party,” produced by the SpringHill Company for HBO Max.

There’s also talks that Drake will make a cameo.
